A TOAST TO THE OLD SALTS Once upon a time we were young. We went out to serve our country, holding our flag high, never faltering, standing shoulder to shoulder with pride. We gave our blood and our veins were replenished. We gave our heart and we were given renewed strength. We gave our soul and we were given new life. All that we gave was returned ten fold. The time has come to lay down the sword, put aside the weapons of war, pass the brave spirit to the young as it was passed to us.

Gung Ho he cried, loud and bitter, lets go you Marine I'm no quitter! Floyd Stocks |
Once upon a time life was filled with excitement, every day was bright and new. Life was an adventure unfolding before us as we reached out for our destiny.
With hope and determination we marched to the drummers beat. We stood and faced adversity at all corners of the world. We reveled in the good, we suffered from the bad, we perservered. Fate was not always kind. We knew glory, we knew happiness, we suffered humiliation and sadness.
Life led me down many roads, across high mountains and swift running streams. I soared through the heavens, I realized my sweetest dreams. My life has been very special, an adventure, filled with good friends, the best ever seen. My life has been a grand life, I am a UNITED STATES MARINE SERGEANT MAJOR Floyd Stocks USMC RETIRED ENLISTED 29 OCTOBER 1941 AN OFFICER A GENTLEMAN AND A SEMPER FI HEART |

Johns travels have been re-directed, due to his injury. This link will go to photos and storys of his recovery, and links to photos of his prior adventures with the Magnificent Bastards. Work still in progress I'm finding it painfully difficult to tell the storys, but I'm working on it. |
